What to Bring to the 2025 SFWC

Health and Safety

For the 2025 SFWC, masking is now recommended, not required.

We suggest wearing masks at the conference, especially indoors in sessions, if a room is full. We also recommend masking as you travel to the conference in airplanes or on any other form of public transit. Many presenters have reported zero travel illnesses since masking. Our conference is in February, the heart of flu season. Presenters plan to keep masking on airplanes for their own health and happiness and advise you to do the same.

A deferment to the 2026 conference is offered if you become sick at the last minute. Anyone who is visibly ill may be asked to leave. All numbered sessions are being recorded and will be available to attendees for one year. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided on-site.

Packing for the Event

Winter in San Francisco can be a wild ride, with conditions ranging from cool and foggy to warm and sunny. Layers are recommended along with good walking shoes so you can explore the city! And don’t forget to bring a semi-swish outfit or two for our Gala and other fun evening events.

Still got questions?

That’s OK, we have answers! Whether you’re wondering about our online bookstore at the event, or how to find Lost & Found, our FAQs page covers many of these topics. And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact [email protected].

Warmest Greetings from San Francisco,
